Apartment Becherhaus
So I stumbled across Apartment Becherhaus during my third trip to Karlovy Vary, and honestly, it's one of those places that just gets it right without trying too hard.
So I stumbled across Apartment Becherhaus during my third trip to Karlovy Vary, and honestly, it’s one of those places that just gets it right without trying too hard. You know how some hotels feel like they’re performing hospitality? This isn’t that – it’s more like staying at a well-organized friend’s place who actually knows how to host people.
The location on Moskevská is actually pretty perfect, though you might not realize it at first glance. I mean, it’s not right in the thick of the colonnade chaos where all the tourists are elbowing each other for spa water, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the main action – close enough that you can pop back if you forget something, but far enough that you’re not dealing with those massive tour groups clustering around the hot springs at 6 AM. The street itself is surprisingly quiet, which I appreciated after spending days wandering around the more touristy bits of town. There’s decent parking nearby too, though honestly, you’ll want to walk most places once you’re here anyway.
What really struck me about Becherhaus is how they’ve managed to keep that apartment-style feel without sacrificing the things you actually need from a hotel. The rooms have this lived-in comfort – not fancy, but everything works and there’s enough space to actually unpack your stuff (revolutionary concept, I know). The 8.2 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it delivers on what it promises. I particularly loved that you could open the windows properly – sounds minor, but after a long day of spa treatments and wandering the hillside paths, fresh air hits different. The neighborhood has this authentic residential vibe where you’ll see locals heading to work in the morning, which beats the hotel bubble experience you get in some places. You’re also within walking distance of some lesser-known thermal springs that the day-trippers usually miss, and there’s a decent bakery two streets over that does these incredible koláče pastries – definitely worth the early morning trek.
Hotels near me in Karlovy Vary offer convenient access to the spa promenade, where guests can easily walk to thermal springs, colonnades, and luxury wellness centers.

Wonderful
Exceptional A big and comfortable apartment, clean, quiet.
Bon séjour malgré l'absence d'une place de parking gratuit, c'est tout ce qu'il manquait.
Good location. price for accommodation during the film festival.
What could be improved: why check-in & check-out information is not shared in advance but the guest has to ask. on google maps the accommodation is shown in a different part of the street, which seems a little sketchy. the most basic and cheap bedding. each towel a different size and color.

What could be improved: Internetverbindung
Very pleasant once in the apartment This is a spacious, comfortable, well equipped apartment, close to the main tourist drag and the bus and train stations, for which we paid a very reasonable price compared to other available accommodation.
What could be improved: There were very minor niggles about the apartment, and we had to tell the host about a shower fault. The main thing was the booking.com description failed to give the house number and we walked along Moskévska for quite a while with our bags, which as we found is a very long street, before we could get the host to tell us by text exactly where it was.
