When I first pulled up to Apartment Fox on Jateční street, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name — but this four-star property quickly proved it’s got serious style. The building sits in what locals consider the absolute best part of Karlovy Vary, and you know what? They’re not wrong. There’s free parking right on site, which — trust me — is a huge deal in this city where finding a spot can be a nightmare.

The Perfect Location

This place scored a perfect 10.0 for location, and after spending time here, I get why. You’re walking distance from the main colonnade where all the thermal springs are, but you’re tucked away enough that you don’t hear the tourist crowds at night. I mean, couples absolutely love this spot — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll to the spa district in minutes, then retreat to your own quiet corner. The neighborhood feels authentically Czech, not like those touristy areas where everything’s overpriced and designed for day-trippers.

The Apartment Experience

The apartment setup here is actually brilliant — you get way more space than a typical hotel room, plus there’s a proper kitchenette if you want to grab groceries from the local market and cook something simple. The thermal springs are obviously the main draw in Karlovy Vary, but being positioned where Apartment Fox is, you can easily explore the quieter parts of town too. There’s a lovely park nearby that most tourists miss, perfect for morning walks before the spa crowds arrive.
