Look, I’ll be honest – when I first climbed up to the third floor of this building on Kolmá street, I wasn’t expecting much from Apartment KATRIN 1. I mean, it’s tucked away on this quiet residential street that most tourists probably walk right past on their way to the main spa district. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly what made it special.
The thing about staying here is that you’re actually living like a local in Karlovy Vary, not just passing through like another spa tourist. Katrin (yeah, there’s an actual person behind this place) has set up the apartment so it feels like you’re crashing at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste. The kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to grab some fresh bread from the bakery down the street – and trust me, you’ll want to do that at least once. There’s something satisfying about making your morning coffee while listening to the neighborhood slowly wake up instead of dealing with hotel breakfast crowds. The windows face away from the busy spa promenade, so you get these peaceful mornings that honestly feel like a luxury after a day of wandering around the tourist areas.
What really struck me was how well-positioned this place is without feeling like you’re in the thick of everything. You can walk to the famous colonnades in about ten minutes – downhill, which is key because Karlovy Vary is basically built on a hillside and your legs will thank you later. But when you want to escape the crowds (especially during spa season when the place gets pretty packed), you can retreat back to this quiet corner of the city. The building itself has that solid Central European feel – thick walls, high ceilings, the kind of place that stays cool in summer without needing AC blasting all the time. I actually slept better here than in some fancier hotels because the street’s just quiet enough at night. There’s the occasional car, but nothing like the constant hum you get near the main drag. And parking? Well, it’s street parking like most places in the old part of town, but there’s usually something available if you’re not too picky about walking a block or two.

Exceptional Netoli centro, apie 7 min į apačią ir 12 min į apartamentus grįžtant, nes įkalnė. Butas tvarkingas, patogus, yra visi patogumai, dušo priemonės, skalbimo mašina. Lengvas įsiregistravimas, nes raktai palikti dėžutėje prie durų, patogu atvykti kada nori. Automobilį pastatėme kieme nemokamai, bet kadangi buvome prašę parkingo, tai šeiminikei palikome pinigus už jį (6eur)

Wonderful Excellent apartment in a great place near to the center
Exceptional Everything! Most importantly the bed was huge and comfortable, kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, bathroom was large, clean, spotless. The flat was modern but friendly, who designed had a great imagination about functionality, seems pretty new absolutely no questionable issue. The location was perfect having a supermarket in 50 meter, bus stop with frequent services, 300 meter from city centre.
Highly recommend Apartment has all we need for two nights stay, clean and well equipped. Love the location where we could stroll to major sights shortly especially with a pleasant.
What could be improved: Shower in the bathtub without curtains!

What could be improved: You have to climb stairs to the apartment, which is on the third floor. This is not really a problem, as it is clearly stated in the advertisement.
The perfect spot for a quiet holiday This has been one of the nicest apartments I ever booked while traveling. It must have been renovated recently.
It was extremely clean and very well equipped, quiet and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and there is a big table where we could have our meals. We also had everything we needed for cooking and even could make some coffee in the mornings.
The location is also super nice, there is a great Italian restaurant just around the corner, as well as a grocery store and a bus stop.
The touristy areas and the old town can be reached by walking 5 minutes downhill: you can find the thermal water springs and the restaurants there. The way back to the apartment requires a bit of stamina :), but it’s nothing a person in a fairly good shape couldn’t do.
We hope to visit Karlovy Vary again and when we do I’ll definitely check if one of the Katrin apartments are available.
What could be improved: The flowery scent in the apartment was a tiiiny bit too strong for our liking. But we got used to it quickly :)

6 days Very convenient location 7 minutes from the city canter.The apartment has absolutely everything (powerful hairdryer ,shower gel ,dishes ,cutlery , power and fabric softener)very clean quiet and cozy place.I will definitely book such an apartment on the next trip.I highly recommend this apartment for a holiday in Karlovy Vary.
