It’s tucked up on Na Vyhlídce, which honestly sounds intimidating if you don’t speak Czech (it just means “on the viewpoint”), but once you find it, you’ll understand why they picked that street name. The location is actually brilliant because you’re high enough to escape the tourist chaos down in the spa district, but still close enough to walk to the colonnades in about ten minutes.

The apartment itself has this refreshingly unpretentious vibe that I really appreciated. You know how some places try too hard to be fancy? This isn’t that. It’s clean, thoughtfully set up, and – here’s what I loved – it feels like someone actually lives there rather than just passing through. The kitchen is properly equipped (I mean, you can actually cook a real meal, not just heat up leftovers), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without everything feeling cramped. The windows are the real star though – you get these sweeping views over the valley that make you want to just sit there with your morning coffee and watch the town wake up. During spa season you can actually see the streams of people heading to the hot springs, which is oddly entertaining.

What really sets this place apart is how it strikes that sweet spot between being away from the crowds but not isolated. The neighborhood is quiet – like, genuinely quiet at night, not “city quiet” – but there’s a good bakery just down the hill and you’re a short walk from Tržiště street where the locals actually shop. Parking was way easier than I expected too, which if you’ve driven in Karlovy Vary, you know is saying something. The whole experience felt more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel, and honestly, with that 9.3 rating, I’m not the only one who thinks so. It’s the kind of spot where you might plan to stay two nights and end up wanting to extend because you’re actually relaxed instead of just checking things off your tourist list.
