Well, this place sits perfectly positioned where you can actually hear the gentle hum of the spa district without being right in the tourist chaos – which, trust me, gets pretty intense during summer months when the German and Russian visitors flood in.
The thing about this hotel is it feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need, rather than just checking boxes on a corporate list. I mean, the lobby has this warm, understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look how fancy we are” but still makes you feel like you’ve arrived somewhere special. The 4-star rating feels spot-on – it’s not trying to be the Grand Hotel Pupp down the street (which, honestly, can feel a bit stuffy), but it’s definitely a step above those generic chain places. What really got me was the attention to small details: the bathroom actually had decent water pressure (you’d be amazed how rare that is in some of these older European buildings), and the beds were firm enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been sleeping on a marshmallow.
The location is honestly what seals the deal here. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the Hot Spring Colonnade, and if you’re an early riser like me, you can grab that famous mineral water before the crowds descend around 9 AM. Plus – and this is something most hotel descriptions won’t tell you – there’s actually reasonable parking nearby, which is basically a miracle in this part of town. The staff seemed to genuinely know the area too, not just the tourist highlights but practical stuff like where to find a decent pharmacy or which restaurants locals actually eat at (hint: skip the places right on the main drag). The 8.1 rating makes perfect sense when you experience it – it’s solidly good without any major complaints, though I will say the Wi-Fi got a bit spotty on the third floor during busy evening hours. But honestly? When you’re in Karlovy Vary, you should probably be out exploring those beautiful colonnades and soaking in the spa culture anyway, not glued to your phone in your room.

Wonderful The man at the check-in was very helpful and the room had a small balcony overlooking the plaza
Very Good Very good location in the middle of the pedestrian zone. Clean hotel and friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has a great interior design style. A small spa area including sauna and pool is available.
What could be improved: The parking lots are a bit away from the hotel and on a street.

What could be improved: I liked everything, but I did not realize how difficult it was to find the way to the front of the hotel. Is a 1 way on each side of the river. And I just haven't been able to find which road to take. It takes another 3 or 4 km to go around to get to the other side of the road. And the navigation has never been able to take me there. Tried waze and google. I think they have only 9 places to park close to the hotel. 2 or 3 min to walk for 20 Euro a day. If you are driving make sure to reserve the parking place ahead of time.

What could be improved: Temperature in swimming pool can be a bit higher.

Great hotel We stayed in a suite and we really liked it, the interior was very cosy and we had a huge bathtub and two sinks in the bathroom.
The buffet breakfast was very generous with a large food variety, though the dinner was not that great.
There's a nice little pool with a powerful massage jet, and a basic sauna and steam room, all exceptionally clean.
Location is superb
What could be improved: Staff is friendly, but lack of english could lead to awkward moments occasionally.
Wonderful The staff was really friendly. The hotel and the spa facilities were exceptionally clean and well maintained, the breakfast was quite good with a good choice, even pan cakes.
What could be improved: We had a room looking at the backyard and it was a bit dark, but the room itself was still quite nice!
Very Good we make the reservation the same day we arrived and the hotel welcomed us in a big spacious room in a characteristic Art Nouveau Building.
The view from the room was delicious and the terrace work excellent during mid day when is completely blessed by the sunbeams.
There was enough space for two person to work remotely for two days.
Staff was kindly and friendly, with an excellent and delicious breakfast, quite above CZ standard.
What could be improved: Sauna and Wellness looks a bit too tight, and the steams room was not working during our stays
