Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of hotels in Karlovy Vary, and honestly? Most of them either try way too hard to be fancy or they’re just… meh. But Boutique Hotel Corso actually gets it right. It’s tucked away on Stara Louka, which – if you know the town at all – puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to the main spa colonnade in about five minutes, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually sleep at night.
The thing that struck me first was how they’ve managed to keep that old-world Karlovy Vary charm without making everything feel like a museum. The building itself has this lovely facade that fits right in with the neighborhood’s architecture, but step inside and it’s clear someone put real thought into the renovation. The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings – you know, the kind that make you realize how cramped most modern hotels feel – and the furniture strikes this perfect balance between elegant and actually comfortable. I mean, I’ve been in plenty of “boutique” places where the chairs look amazing but you can’t sit in them for more than ten minutes without your back aching.
What really won me over, though, was the staff. They’re not doing that overly formal thing that makes you feel like you need to whisper, but they clearly know their stuff. The woman at reception gave me this insider tip about the best time to visit the hot springs (early morning, before the tour groups arrive – trust me on this), and she was spot-on. The breakfast setup is smaller than what you’d find at those big chain hotels, but everything’s actually good quality. Fresh pastries, decent coffee, and they don’t give you weird looks if you want to linger over your meal.
Here’s the practical stuff that matters: parking can be a bit tricky in this part of town, but the hotel has an arrangement with a garage nearby that’s way less stressful than trying to find street parking. The rooms facing the street get a little noise during the day – nothing terrible, just the normal sounds of people walking to the spas – but it’s dead quiet by evening. Check-in was smooth, no standing around waiting while they figure out their computer system.
The location really is ideal if you’re here for the spa experience. You’re literally a few blocks from all the main springs, the Grand Hotel Pupp is an easy walk if you want to people-watch over coffee, and there are some genuinely good restaurants within stumbling distance. But you’re also positioned well if you want to explore beyond the tourist zone – the more residential parts of Karlovy Vary where you can get a feel for what the town is actually like when it’s not performing for visitors.
Bottom line: this place feels like someone’s well-traveled friend opened a hotel and actually thought about what they’d want when they’re tired and just want a comfortable, honest place to stay. No pretense, no cutting corners, just a really solid spot that happens to have a 9.2 rating because they’ve figured out how to do the basics really, really well.

What Our Guests Say
wonderful !! everything went well, clean room, good breakfast, freindly staff :) very happy
Exceptional Everything was perfect 👌
I recommend !!!!
What could be improved: There is no parking.
Exceptional Everything was beyond my expectations! Very good spa salon.
What could be improved: The only minus is that hotel doesn’t have allocated parking spaces.
Everything was great, except for a few small issues. Beautiful, spacious, and clean rooms, a cozy small hotel with a limited number of rooms, a very beautiful pool, a sauna, and a lovely interior. Great location, close to the springs and right on the main street.
What could be improved: The breakfast was rather limited. It included an omelet, several types of cereal and muesli, a few kinds of cheese, and some cold cuts. It would be nice to have more fruits, vegetables, and egg-based dishes.
We also had an issue with parking. When we arrived for check-in, spots 67 and 66 were occupied, and cars remained there until the evening, even though it was stated that these spots were intended for quick check-in and check-out. We called the reception, but the lady said she couldn’t help us. We had to park in any available spot and leave a note saying, “If our car is in your way, please call us.” Fortunately, we were able to unload quickly, check in, and move the car to the nearest available paid parking spot.
Great hotel, disappointing spa treatments I would have rated the hotel excellent with 10 out of 10 if it wasn't for the very disappointing spa treatment. The room was so beautiful, I felt like a queen. The pool was gorgeous and super relaxing. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful.
What could be improved: The spa treatment was very disappointing. I asked for the Bali ritual and what I got was a lady applying a body scrub and then having to take a shower. Then she applied a body mask, wrapped me up in plastic and left me there for an extremely long time without being able to move at all. When she finally came back I was made to take the plastic off myself and to take another shower. After this she told me to lie on my stomach for the massage which I was really looking forward to. The "massage" consisted in her applying oil on my back and the back of my legs very slowly and softly for the remaining of the time. I was very uncomfortable with my neck towards the end because it was very long. When it was finally over she asked me how I felt. I said "I was expecting a massage". This set her off in a long, defensive and slightly aggressive speech on how this is a beauty treatment and she's not a masseuse and how the lady that had it the day before did not complain. She didn't let me put a word in and when she was finished with her monologue she abruptly left the room so I could dress. When I got up I had pain in my shoulders. I went out to pay this very expensive treatment (which if I had bought the products and asked a friend to apply them, I would have spent much less) and she told me that I would see what a good night sleep I would have thanks to the amazing products that she had applied. This was furthest from the truth as it took me ages to fall asleep and when I finally did, I woke up several times in the night. I have had many spa treatments around the world and this is the only one that I didn't feel good after it was over. To be honest, I felt cheated.
I loved this hotel so much that I will return to Karlovy Vary just to stay there again Beautiful stylish elegant comfortable affordable and perfectly located

Will come back We really liked the hotel — it's small and in a good location. Everything was clean, and the room had everything we needed, even a scale. There were bathrobes and towels for the spa. The spa is small but very nice.
What could be improved: Nothing
Fabulous . Great view from our room . Everything ! Staff were fabulous . We were cycling and arrived very wet and cold . The lady on reception was lovely and showed us where to store our bikes . Our room was beautiful, high up with a view of Main Street but no noise as so high up ! We went for a very welcomed swim and sauna in the lovely spa which was just what we needed after a hard cycle in mountains in rain .
Hotel was at the top of the town close to the famous Hotel Pupp . Ideal place for walking everywhere in Karlsbad .
I had a massage from Nikki and it was probably the best I have ever had .
Breakfast was excellent .
