The building sits right on Libušina street, and honestly, I had to double-check my booking because from the outside it looks almost residential. But that’s actually part of its charm – you’re tucked into this quiet neighborhood that locals actually live in, not some touristy bubble.

The location is pretty brilliant once you figure it out. You’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the main colonnade where everyone’s doing the whole mineral water cure thing, but far enough away that you don’t hear the constant chatter of tour groups at night. I loved that I could grab coffee at this little café around the corner – can’t remember the name, but the owner speaks perfect English and makes these incredible koláče pastries. The apartment itself was spacious (and I mean actually spacious, not “cozy European spacious”), with this gorgeous parquet flooring that creaks just slightly when you walk across it. There’s something oddly comforting about that sound. The kitchen was fully equipped – I actually cooked dinner twice, which I never do when traveling, but the local market on Tržiště is just too tempting to pass up.

What really sets this place apart is how quiet it gets after 9 PM. Karlovy Vary can feel pretty sleepy anyway, but this street becomes absolutely peaceful. Perfect if you’re here for the spa treatments and actually want to rest between sessions. The only minor thing – and this is really minor – is that the shower pressure varies depending on the time of day. Morning showers are fantastic, evening ones are a bit gentler. But honestly, after walking around those hilly streets all day, even a gentle shower feels amazing. The 9.3 rating makes complete sense to me – this isn’t flashy luxury, it’s thoughtful comfort. You’ll pay less than the grand hotels near the hot springs, but you’ll feel more like you’re experiencing how people actually live in this beautiful, slightly faded spa town. Plus, the check-in process was refreshingly simple – just a quick meeting with the owner who gave me more useful local tips in ten minutes than most concierges manage in a whole stay.
