It’s tucked into this quieter street just off the main spa promenade, which actually turned out to be perfect because you get that authentic Karlovy Vary feel without the constant parade of tour groups shuffling past your window at 7 AM.
The place has this understated charm that I really appreciated. I mean, it’s not trying to be some grand palace hotel – it knows what it is and does it well. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, and you know what struck me? The kitchenettes are actually functional, not just some sad mini-fridge situation. I ended up grabbing fresh pastries from the bakery around the corner (there’s this little Czech place that opens ridiculously early) and having coffee on the small balcony overlooking the street. The whole setup reminded me why apartment-style stays work so well in European spa towns – you can live like a temporary local instead of feeling trapped in hotel breakfast schedules.
What I found genuinely useful was the location’s sweet spot factor. You’re literally a three-minute walk to the Mill Colonnade, but when you want to escape the spa crowds, you just duck back to Stará Louka and it’s suddenly peaceful again. The staff seemed to actually live in the area – when I asked about hiking trails up to the Diana Lookout, the guy at reception gave me this detailed route that skips the tourist bottleneck at the funicular station. Honestly, that kind of local knowledge made the stay feel more authentic than just following Google Maps everywhere. The building itself has character without being fussy – clean lines, decent soundproofing (important when you’re trying to sleep off all that mineral water), and the kind of no-nonsense comfort that works whether you’re there for a spa weekend or using Karlovy Vary as a base to explore western Bohemia. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with marble lobbies or concierge services, but sometimes you just want a well-located place that doesn’t overthink things, and Mozart delivers on that front.

Mixed feelings What was good: great breakfast, location, very clean (except a couple of spiders),
What was below expectations:
A lot of small things that didn't help to enjoy, like frying pan didn't work on the induction owen, so it was useless. Broken holder of shower handle. No TV. Critically low amount of liquid soap and not enough disposable shampoos for 2 people × 4 days, we had to buy a shower gel. No microwave. No fan. Lack of curtains on windows
Something in between hotel and apartment experience. But you usually expect more appliances. A little bit of care would make it much better

What could be improved: Мы не знали что нет лифта,а мы жили на 4 этаже,но даже это не повлияло на наш отдых.
Wonderful Sehr zentral. Im Zimmer ist sehr warm. Bad ist auch sehr groß, sauber und modern.
What could be improved: Leider hört man die Lieferung um 6:30 an die unten liegende Restaurants. Da wird man wach.
Receptionist implied theft, rooms in a different building What could be improved: The receptionist implied I stole one of the pieces of luggage from the reception when I returned for my bag that I had left there after check out, because I also had another suitcase I didn't leave there. But the suitcase I just found by rubbish bins. Apart from one missing wheel, it was in a great condition and was the size I didn't have at home so I took it. But the receptionist didn't believe it much and asked me to show her the contents of the suitcase. I thought this was very rude. Besides, there were cameras, she could have checked I entered the building with the suitcase already, and should also remember what she had there. And my new blue suitcase had quite a distinctive colour. I complied because i didn't want to ruin my day with an argument but this level of suspiciousness and rudeness is something that's only seen in the Czech republic from my travelling experience. This behaviour could get her sacked in countries like the UK where courtesy is number one priority when dealing with customers.
Also, the apartments where we were accommodated were misleadingly advertised. They weren't even in the same building as the hotel. They were somewhere by an entrance to a pub spa and next to crowded restaurants. Definitely wasn't as luxurious as they'd make you think. Breakfast etc are all in another building.
Very Good The appartments are situated very close to colonades and all interestingplaces to visit, to drink coffe or to eat. Also no need to go up on hills like for many hotels - it's on the same street, which led to colonades by the Tepla river.
Breakfasts were delicious with good variety of food.
What could be improved: There is no elevator in the building - we lived on the 3rd floor, it was ok for me, but could be hard for elder people.
We had not pleasant situation with the doctor - the next day after we've arrived we came to the spa to have a doctor prescription for mineral water. Spa administrator said us to come back at certain time. When we came as was told, doctor started to scream at administrator and at US that noone told her about extra people, and that 60 people are waiting for her at some other hotel!!! It was a crazy situation and extremely not professional to make clients hear that and trying to make clients resposible for that hotel didn't inform her about new clients arrived! Of course, after that we didn't want her consultation at all and we found a great doctor at Lazne 5. So, I think the hotel should think about new more professional doctor, who is interested in clients at YOUR hotel!
