So I stumbled across EA Hotel Atlantic Palace during one of those spontaneous Karlovy Vary trips, and honestly? It’s one of those places that just gets it right. The location on Tržiště is pretty much perfect – you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Mill Colonnade, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups that seem to swarm the main drag around 10 AM every day.
The building itself has this understated elegance that I actually prefer to some of the flashier spots along the promenade. You know what struck me first? The lobby smells like subtle lavender instead of that generic hotel air freshener scent. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful too – not just going through the motions but actually asking if I’d been to Karlovy Vary before and offering specific restaurant recommendations (they steered me toward a fantastic little Czech place on Zeyerova that I never would’ve found otherwise). The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – well-maintained, comfortable beds, and the bathrooms are actually spacious enough to move around in. I mean, the décor isn’t going to win any design awards, but it’s tasteful and functional, which honestly matters more when you’re out exploring all day.
What really sold me on this place was the quieter atmosphere compared to some of the mega-hotels closer to the hot springs. You can actually sleep in without being woken up by buses idling outside at 7 AM – something I learned the hard way at another hotel here last year. The staff clearly know the rhythms of the city too. They mentioned that late afternoon is the best time to hit the colonnades if you want to avoid crowds, and they were absolutely right. Parking was straightforward (there’s a garage nearby, though it fills up during spa season), and the whole check-out process was refreshingly quick. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re the type who wants to be close to everything but still have a peaceful base to return to. The 8.5 rating makes total sense – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers exactly what most travelers actually need without any of the pretense.

What Our Guests Say
Exceptional Amazing location and comfortable rooms
What could be improved: We asked for breakfast to go as we were leaving early, but the staff forgot about our request.
Elegant Stay in a Beautiful City Hotel Atlantic Palace in Karlovy Vary is a beautiful place with elegant facilities and lovely amenities that make for a pleasant stay. The hotel offers great comforts, though unfortunately, we couldn’t use the spa due to our late arrival. We would have appreciated more information from the staff about things to do in Karlovy Vary, as the city has so much to offer. Communication in English was a bit challenging, but we managed. The hotel’s buffet is good—not extraordinary, but it offers enough variety for a satisfying breakfast. Overall, a nice experience in a charming city.
Exceptional Top-Location, iconic city view from the 3rd-floor Junior Suite.
Recommend Cozy and good value
Great location within Karlovy Vary Great location within Karlovy Vary, fantastic breakfast buffet and a tasteful room. The hotel's Atlantic theme is consistent and makes the stay interesting. I loved the shower. Nice, generous balcony with a great view of Karlovy Vary. TV had many programs in it but is too small for the room. 65 or 75" would be an appropriate upgrade that would also complement the spacious room better. Carpets didn't look very good anymore.
Very Good Nice room, great breakfast. Kinda feels like "Old Money".
What could be improved: No parking. You are going to be in for a nasty surprise, especially if you going to arrive later in the evening. Good news, you gonna get a map that shows possible parking spots. Good luck with that quest. Anyway, advertising as "parking available on site" is a bit misleading.
