Hotel Embassy
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Embassy?
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Embassy? I was expecting another generic spa town hotel – Karlovy Vary’s got plenty of those – but this place actually has character. It sits on Nová Louka, which is honestly one of the better streets if you want to be close to the action without dealing with the tourist circus that Mill Colonnade becomes during peak season. You can walk to the main promenade in about five minutes, but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear groups of tour buses rumbling past at 7 AM.
The building itself has that solid, understated elegance that works so well in this town – none of that over-the-top baroque stuff that some places try to pull off (and usually fail at). What really impressed me was the attention to detail inside. The lobby smells like cedar and something faintly floral – not that artificial hotel air freshener smell that makes you want to hold your breath. The staff actually seems to know the area well, which is rarer than you’d think. When I asked about hiking trails up to Diana Tower, the receptionist gave me specific route recommendations and warned me about the muddy sections after it rains. That’s local knowledge you can’t fake.
The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, but honestly, it’s the little things that make the difference here. The windows actually open properly – important when you want that cool Karlovy Vary morning air without cranking up the AC. The water pressure is excellent (crucial after a day of walking around those hills), and the beds are firm enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you slept in quicksand. I mean, the décor isn’t going to win any design awards, but it’s tasteful and comfortable. What more do you need? The Wi-Fi works throughout the building, which seems basic but you’d be surprised how many places in the historic center struggle with that. Parking can be a bit tricky during festival season – there’s a small lot, but it fills up fast when the film festival or other events are happening. The staff will direct you to nearby options though, and honestly, walking a few extra blocks in this town isn’t exactly a hardship. The breakfast spread is solid Czech fare with some international options – nothing revolutionary, but good quality and they don’t run out of the popular items like some places do.
Look, if you’re looking for cutting-edge modern luxury or Instagram-perfect design, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a genuinely comfortable base for exploring Karlovy Vary with staff who care about your experience and a location that puts you right where you need to be without the tourist trap pricing, Hotel Embassy delivers. It’s the kind of place that makes you think about coming back to Karlovy Vary sooner than you planned.
Karlovy Vary hotels provide guests with luxurious accommodations in Czech Republic’s premier spa destination, known for its healing thermal waters and imperial atmosphere.

What Our Guests Say
Great experience at an affordable price. The Embassy Hotel offers a fantastic balance of comfort, convenience, and cost. Located in a prime spot, it made exploring the city effortless. They genuinely care about guest satisfaction. Rooms were clean, well-kept, and quiet. Overall, it’s incredible value for money. Highly recommend!
What could be improved: Only issue that I found is the lift is situated on the first floor so Guests have to lift their luggage till the first floor to get into the elevator.
A Very relaxing stay Staff was very nice and smiling all the time ! They made our stay even more pleasant. I highly recommend Embassy Hotel for a relaxing stay in Karlovy Vary
Wonderful Hotel is located near the Grandhotel Pupp. Very good location to ride Diana punicula and also to go to the No.1 spring.
Staffs were very kind and breakfast had many choices.
What could be improved: The interior of the apartment can feel a bit outdated.

Exceptional The hotel had a very nice breakfast room, cozy and with a warm winter holiday atmosphere.
Parking reservation was a big plus. Central location and near the touristic objectives is quite attractive.
We loved the Embassy Hotel and our stay in Karlovy Vary. The location was perfect. We could walk to everything we wanted to see. The room was lovely and large. The breakfast was good, and the breakfast room was cozy and quaint. Parking was convenient and easy. We also enjoyed our delicious Christmas dinner in the Embassy restaurant.
What could be improved: The breakfast room was cute, but it would have been nice to see more Christmas decorations in there.
Early each morning someone was smoking just below our window, and the smoke would come straight into our room. We were right above the entrance.
I would love to come back Room extra spacious, actually they gave us a family room. Warm, comfortable and very good location. I would come back. The lady receptionist very helpful. Parking just in front of the hotel. Everything perfect.
What could be improved: The french restaurant needs to improve.
Exceptional One of the best locations, not crowded, but steps from the best sceneries. Friendly, helpful, english speaking staff, clean rooms. Parking direclty in front of the hotel. Fantastic breakfast! Decent restaurant, with local dishes.
What could be improved: More english or german guides / maps would be a nice touch, 90% of these were in russian or czech.
Exceptional Very good service staff. The car could be parked behind the hotel, because everything in front was busy. The breakfast was good. I recommend this hotel.
