First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel Sirius on Zahradní street, you immediately get the sense that this place knows what it’s doing. It’s not trying too hard to impress — just a solid, well-maintained four-star property that sits comfortably in one of Karlovy Vary’s most coveted neighborhoods. The entrance has that understated elegance that Czech hotels do so well, and honestly, the location alone makes you feel like you’ve made a smart choice before you even check in.
Prime Location Benefits
Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re genuinely in the sweet spot of the city. The hotel sits in what locals and visitors consistently rate as the best area in Karlovy Vary, and after spending time exploring, I totally get why. You can actually walk to the famous colonnades without dealing with tourist bus chaos, and there’s something really satisfying about being able to slip back to your room for a quick break between spa treatments. The couples who stay here seem to have figured this out too — they’re rating the location 9.5 out of 10, which honestly doesn’t surprise me at all.
The Room Experience
The accommodations strike that perfect balance between comfort and practicality. Nothing feels overly fancy or intimidating, but everything works exactly as it should. The rooms have this clean, contemporary feel that doesn’t try to compete with the historic charm you’ll find wandering the streets outside. What I appreciated most was how quiet everything stays — even with the central location, you’re not dealing with street noise that keeps you up at night. The bathrooms are modern and spacious enough that you don’t feel cramped after a long day of exploring.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here actually gets you excited to start the day, which isn’t something I can say about every hotel. They’ve got both continental and buffet options, so whether you’re the type who wants a quick coffee and pastry or someone who needs a proper spread before hitting the thermal baths, you’re covered. The quality is consistently good — fresh ingredients, local touches, and enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying several nights. I mean, starting your Karlovy Vary adventure properly fed makes such a difference when you’re planning to spend hours walking around the spa district.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to Hotel Sirius is how it delivers on the fundamentals without any unnecessary drama. You get a great location that puts you right where you want to be, comfortable accommodations that feel like a proper retreat, and service that’s attentive without being intrusive. The 7.6 rating reflects exactly what you’d expect — a reliable, well-run property that knows its strengths and plays to them. For couples especially, this place seems to hit all the right notes for a romantic getaway in one of Europe’s most famous spa towns.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Karlovy Vary at least two months ahead for major events like the Film Festival, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near thermal springs.

Double or Twin Room (view of the gardens Dvorak)
Max. people: 2 2 twin bedsWhat Our Guests Say
Great location, the rest is disappointing. The location is great, in the middle of the city. The room was clean.
What could be improved: The hotel absolutely does not deserve 4 stars. The room is clean but outdated with broken tiles in the bathroom and mini fridge that smells terribly.
The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was well below average. And we were told to share a relatively small table with other guests - we refused that.
The price does not meet the quality Perfect location, clean room and beds.
What could be improved: The hotel absolutely does not correspond to 4* hotel. Old furniture, reception is a dark depressive place. In our room there were two separated beds just put together, with a gap in the middle, fridge in the room was empty and turned off. Another bad suprise was, that wellness is open only in the week, in the weekend is close. There was a bath in our room, what was nice, but before we could use it, my partner had to repair the broken plug. Food served for the dinner and also for breakfast was poor and cheap. We will never come back, the price does not meet the quality.
Not even a bottle of water in the room.. What could be improved: 1.Very expensive for what they offer. They didn't even put a single bottle of water in the room...
2. In the booking photos of the room there was a 3 window room with view to garden, in reality was only two windows without that view.
3. The breakfast was very poor.. they ran out of eggs, and they said that they will bring more, but they didn't.
4. During breakfast you are sharing a table with other people, because they keep only 1 room for that, as they do not want to heat the other places for sitting..
5. SPA does not work in weekend, so if you are on a weekend trip, do not expect to have it.
6. You can not bring your coffee in the room, because you can mess it up..
And so on and so on... I'm visiting Karlovy Vary multiple times in a year I was in a cheaper hotels, but never saw such hotel rules as those.. come on people...bring some standards
We enjoyed it very much Great staff and location
What could be improved: No Air condition
Disappointing Location, room cleanliness
What could be improved: An unprecedented experience. we arrived at the hotel after a 7-hour journey from Sweden, where we were met at the reception desk by a lady who did not know 2 words of English. She was looking for passports to fill out forms for the hotel and she started tapping with two fingers which seemed to me endless. my car was parked in front of the hotel where it was allowed to leave it for 15 minutes. I told her I was going to transfer the car and give us the keys to the room to take our things there. she said she couldn't until she filled in the information, which led to the first conflict. she finally relented to give us the keys. when I returned to the hotel after transferring the car, I paid for the rooms and signed the document about the residence tax, which my mother (74 years old) and son (12 years old) who were in the room didn't sign because they were in the room. I told her we were only coming to take a shower and come down to sign the paper. less than 10 minutes later, she called our room, speaking in Czech, which I didn't understand. I went downstairs where I was greeted angrily by the lady. She asking for the papers to be signed immediately. that was the end of my patience, I asked to sign a paper for my son, who is a minor, which she did not allow me at first, but when her colleague explained to her that I have the right as a parent, she gave in with an argument. I told her that my mother had fallen asleep and that she would sign tomorrow morning, and that I had no intention of waking her up for that. I told her that she had a paid bill and 3 passports with her as a guarantee and went to the room in a rage. not 20 minutes had passed when the phone rang from the reception from the same woman. I felt hunted in a hotel that I paid well for one signature. service horror. the other girl was extremely kind. weak breakfast, nice and clean rooms, service and experience never gets worse.
Wonderful Loved the large room, the bath tub, and location
What could be improved: Didn’t like the bed
Perfect location and staff, facilities to improve Perfect location, room was clean and the lady at the reception was nice and helpful.
What could be improved: We stayed here during cold times and the room heating was poor. We were lucky that the receptionist gave us additional heating. The breakfast waa very basic and could improve.
Really nice 😄 Lovly room- historic atmosphere, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff- we stored our lugguage at reception desk and they filled our bottle with fresh water for journey
What could be improved: Breakfast was a really poor and we stayed there during the movie festival so it it was extremly noisy, because the hotel is directly above the colonade and park where were parties the whole night
Great location, caring personnel, comfortable room. The location is perfect: city center, nice view, enough restaurants nearby. The room was big enough, so was the bathroom. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast was fine too: nice choice of warm and cold food. The personnel is extremely kind and attentive.
What could be improved: The pillows were not as comfortable as the beds.
Wenderful stay Everything good
