Hotel Villa Lauretta
You know what struck me first about Villa Lauretta?
You know what struck me first about Villa Lauretta? It’s tucked on this quiet residential street called Sadova, which honestly feels like a little secret once you find it. I mean, you’re still walking distance from all the main spa action in Karlovy Vary, but there’s something really nice about stepping away from the tourist crowds at the end of the day and actually being able to hear yourself think.
The building itself has this old-world Czech charm that doesn’t feel forced or over-the-top touristy – more like someone’s well-kept family mansion that happened to become a hotel. The staff actually seems to know the neighborhood, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. When I asked about finding a good place for breakfast that wasn’t packed with tour groups, the front desk guy immediately pointed me toward this little café two blocks over that I never would’ve discovered otherwise. The rooms are solid for a 4-star – nothing revolutionary, but everything works and they’ve clearly put effort into maintaining the place rather than just letting it coast on its location. I appreciated little touches like having actual thick towels and curtains that actually block out the morning light (crucial if you’re doing the whole spa town thing and want to sleep in).
Location-wise, you’re maybe a 15-minute walk to the famous colonnades where everyone goes to drink the thermal water and pretend it tastes good. But honestly, being slightly removed from that circus is perfect – you can easily pop over when you want to see the sights, then retreat back to a much quieter street when you’ve had enough of the crowds. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven through Czech spa towns will tell you is not always a given. The 7.8 rating feels about right to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does what it promises well, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Villa Lauretta is the kind of place where you’ll sleep well, the shower pressure won’t disappoint you, and you’ll leave feeling like you actually experienced a bit of local Karlovy Vary life rather than just the postcard version.
The luxury concierge service in Karlovy Vary offers personalized access to private wellness programs, Michelin-starred dining, and VIP experiences in this historic spa town.

Just fine Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast. The room is clean, the bed is comfy.
What could be improved: The parking spaces are very narrow. The entrance to the hotel looks like a side entrance to a private house.
Exceptional Breakfast was very good. Egg, vegetables, fruits, yoghurt, pancakes, good coffee... All you needed was there. Quite surroundings. Room with a nice view and a balcony. The lady at the reception was very supportive, provided with the guidance and some tips. I would like to come back.

What could be improved: change the carpets:-)
Friendly, with large rooms and parking available. Very friendly and kind staff, very responsive to email communication, excellent opportunity for parting in front of the object, though with additional charge (free parking is also available, far from the object, but there was an organised transport), extra large room, the object is located close to the main attractions.
What could be improved: Breakfast could be better, especially the coffee and with more fresh fruits available.
