You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from another apartment rental in Karlovy Vary, but Kamil Apartments completely changed my mind about staying outside the main hotel strip. The location on I.P.Pavlova street is actually perfect – you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Mill Colonnade, but far enough away that you don’t hear tourists chattering under your window at 6 AM when the first spa groups arrive.

The 65 square meters feels genuinely spacious, not like those cramped “studios” that somehow claim to fit four people. I mean, you could actually spread out here – there’s a proper living area where you can eat breakfast without sitting on the bed, and the kitchen is equipped well enough that I actually cooked a few meals instead of eating out every night (which honestly saved me a fortune, since restaurant prices near the springs are pretty steep). The apartment has this clean, modern vibe without being sterile – sort of like staying at a friend’s place who has really good taste and actually owns matching furniture. Check-in was smooth too, none of that awkward “meet me at the corner at exactly 3:47 PM” situation you sometimes get with apartment rentals.

What really sold me on this place was the practical stuff that nobody tells you about until you’re there. The building is quiet – I never heard neighbors, which is rare in Karlovy Vary’s older buildings where sound carries like crazy. There’s decent parking nearby (not guaranteed, but I never had issues), and you’re positioned perfectly to explore both the touristy spa zone and the actual Czech neighborhoods where locals live. Walk ten minutes up the hill and you’ll find pubs where beer costs what locals pay, not tourist prices. The apartment gets great natural light in the mornings, which sounds minor but honestly makes a huge difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. Plus, having a proper washing machine meant I could pack lighter – always a win. The 8.9 rating makes total sense to me; it’s not luxury hotel perfect, but it’s exactly what you want from a well-run apartment rental. If you’re planning to spend time actually exploring Karlovy Vary instead of just lounging around your accommodation, this hits that sweet spot of comfortable, convenient, and reasonably priced.
