Karlovy Charme Inn by Rentez
You know what caught me off guard about the Karlovy Charme Inn?
You know what caught me off guard about the Karlovy Charme Inn? It actually lives up to its name – and honestly, that’s rare these days. I mean, Foersterova street isn’t the postcard-perfect strip where all the tour buses dump people, but that’s exactly why this place works so well. You’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the main colonnade action, but far enough away that you won’t hear drunk Germans singing at 2 AM (trust me on this one).
The building itself has this understated elegance that feels authentically Czech rather than trying too hard to be boutique-y. When I walked in, there was this subtle scent of old wood mixed with something floral – not overwhelming like those hotels that pump synthetic lavender through the vents. The staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood, which is huge in a spa town where half the people working hospitality are seasonal and clueless about anything beyond the main drag. They pointed me toward this little café on Zámecký vrch that I never would’ve found otherwise, and honestly, it became my morning ritual.
What really sold me was the attention to details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just crashing after sightseeing. The rooms are quiet – like, properly quiet, not just “we put up heavy curtains and hoped for the best” quiet. The beds are firm enough that you don’t feel like you’re sinking into quicksand, and the shower pressure is legitimately good (you’d be surprised how many 4-star places in this area fail that basic test). There’s decent storage space too, which sounds boring but matters when you’re unpacking thermal bath gear and nice dinner clothes. The whole place has this lived-in comfort without feeling worn down – sort of like staying at your well-traveled aunt’s house if she had excellent taste and a serious cleaning lady.
Location-wise, you’re positioned perfectly for exploring beyond the obvious tourist stuff. Sure, you can hit the Mill Colonnade and do the whole spa cup routine, but you’re also close enough to walk up toward the castle area when you want some elevation and fewer crowds. The 8.6 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but everything just works the way it should. Parking can get interesting during peak season (summer and around Christmas), but the front desk seems pretty good at steering you toward alternatives when their spots fill up. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to spend real time in Karlovy Vary rather than just doing the day-trip spa thing.

Very Good The apartment was very nice and clean. Location is quiet, just a few minutes from a large supermarket and about 5 minutes to the city centre.
Very Good Apartment was huge with a kitchen and comfortable bed. Location was great barely a 10 minute walk to the shopping and food district. It was quiet calm comfortable and very dog friendly.
What could be improved: Bring your own coffee and tea they do have a kettle
The stay was short but awesome We liked that it was a nice, inviting and clean space. There are also multiple restaurants in the area you can reach by foot and you see nice buildings while you stroll through the city.
Exceptional All fine
What could be improved: Internet doesn't work well but the rest great
Exceptional We liked the elevator very much because our apartment was at top flor. We also liked the idea of a bowl as a wash-basin. The view at the lookout tower Diana was great.
Overall it was really nice experience, with some small problems Apartment is great, looks nice and really comfortable. Great location.
What could be improved: Dealbreakers: There were a silverfishes in the bathroom
I will not attach photos, to not scare people off.
I tried to communicate with property owner to get some extra info about check in, but my messages were missed.
Small improvements: would be nice to have an extra towel for the bathroom, to put on a floor.
Wonderful The apartment was really good, new comfortable and big enough. It was walking distance from main attractions. For a big group 4-5 it is ideal. There is Lidl nearby.
What could be improved: Private parking they suggested was unfortunately full. They also suggested a free parking location 1-2 km away. I preferred to park on the street. The only disadvantage was you need to change the ticket every 3 hours max. You cannot pay for the whole day
Fantastic one of the best places I’ve stayed so far! I booked this for my friend and he highly recommends this place! Adam the host is one of the best hosts I’ve dealt with and the place was superb in every way! Thanks again for a great stay:)
Great value for money Great apartament, especially if you're staying with your other half or a friend. Roomy, big kitchen with all the standard kitchenware, fridge and big TV, comfy bedroom with a large bed and another flatsceen TV. We loved the bathroom with a bath enough for two. City centre is 5 min away, Lidl mart nearby. If you're travelling by car, highway exit is just there and a secured on-premises parking lot is available. Overall, me and my fiancée loved our week stay. Highly recommend. Polecam.
What could be improved: Small windows maybe, but I traded them for a big bathroom. Everything else was fine.
Family trip to Karlovy Vary The apartment was very nice and comfortable, with modern design. Clean and quiet. Only 5 mins from the centre, which makes it even better, because you can easily get to the cheaper and cosier restaurants (instead of those at the Kolonada-the main walking area). Also, the Lidl market is literally a minute away, so if you want to prepare something yourself-you have a kitchen with everything you need, even a dishwasher. Totally worth it, and come back for another time!
What could be improved: Nothing special, perhaps both TVs should have access to some movie channels. But not a must...
