I mean, you’re still right in the heart of Karlovy Vary, but it feels like you’ve found this little secret that most tourists rushing between the main colonnades completely miss.
The thing about staying here is that you’re perfectly positioned to do Karlovy Vary the way locals do it. Step out the front door and you can walk to the Mill Colonnade in maybe five minutes, but honestly, I’d recommend taking the longer route past the small parks first – especially if you’re here in late spring when everything’s blooming. The hotel itself has this sort of elegant-but-not-stuffy vibe that works whether you’re here for the spa treatments or just exploring. The rooms are genuinely comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), plus they’ve got these windows that actually open properly – you’d be surprised how many places don’t bother with that anymore. The staff seems to know their stuff too, like when I asked about the best times to visit the hot springs without crowds, they gave me actual specific hours instead of just shrugging.
What really sets this place apart though is how it feels like a proper base camp rather than just somewhere to sleep. The breakfast setup is solid – nothing fancy, but they do this local bread thing that’s actually worth getting up for, and the coffee doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since yesterday. Parking was surprisingly painless too, which honestly makes a huge difference if you’re driving in from Prague or doing day trips around the region. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and while some of the smaller hotels felt a bit empty and sad, this place maintained that comfortable energy. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to change your life, but everything works the way it should, the location is genuinely useful, and you’ll probably sleep better than you do at home. Plus there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that clearly cares about the details without making a big show of it.

Dobrá poloha hotelu, vstřícný personál Lokalita ideální, nejen v době film. festivalu. Personál vstřícný. Líbila se mi možnost čaje k dispozici zdarma pro hosty v rámci lobby baru po celý den (jen tip, bylo by skvělé si s tím pohrát a třeba každý den dávat trochu jinou nabídku čajů s označením a třeba více informacemi o druhu a původu čaje - ale to je jen tip, jinak to byl fajn servis). Wellness jsem bohužel nestihla, nemohu hodnotit. Pokoje v pořádku, jen můj single měl horší výhled (1.patro), pokud je to důležité, pak si předem zkomunikujte s recepcí.
What could be improved: Snídaně průměrná, spíše levnější sortiment. Uvítala bych více čerstvých a zdravých surovin. Je třeba počítat s omezeným parkováním, ale to je u kolonády v KV všude - je tedy nutné rezervovat předem hotelový parking nebo parkovat mimo omezenou lázeňskou oblast. Nicméně na samotný check in/out jsou před vchodem blokována volná 2 parkovací místa, kde je možné krátkodobě zastavit.

What could be improved: The room I got was located on the first floor, next to restaurant and it’s a/c, view to the yeard/wall.. very disappointing. Room bit overdecorated.
Good The rooms were very nice and clean, and I especially appreciated the small gift at departure — a thoughtful touch.
However, I was disappointed by being charged for my small dog after the receptionist had initially suggested it would be free.
These details and the ones described below unfortunately lowered my overall impression, though the hotel itself has potential for an even better experience.
What could be improved: I did not appreciate that the manager ran after me to ask for payment for my small dog, when the receptionist had initially suggested — or at least led me to believe — that it would be free of charge.
I was also disappointed by the misleading “wellness included” offer, as jacuzzi use was strictly limited to a maximum of 15 minutes, which felt unnecessarily restrictive.

What could be improved: I was little disappointed with the lack of English spoken in the hotel. The spa staff only spoke Russian and had to communicate with them via google translate. The spa was also disappointing for it being in a spa town. To be honest, i would probably pick a different hotel if i go back

Excellent hotel. I had a wonderful 5 days in this wonderful hotel. Very tasty food. Very polite staff. Liked literally everything. The hotel is located in the very center, all the healing springs are nearby. I'd give this place 5 stars, rather than 4. I will definitely come again.
