You know what surprised me most about Nely’s Apartment? Walking up to 11 Hynaisova, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what looks like a pretty standard residential building in Karlovy Vary. But here’s the thing – sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the street.
The location is actually perfect if you know anything about how Karlovy Vary works. You’re close enough to the main spa district that you can easily walk to all the famous colonnades and those ornate hotels where tourists line up for the thermal springs, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant crowds and tour buses. I mean, Hynaisova is one of those quiet residential streets where you’ll hear more Czech than English, which honestly feels pretty authentic. The apartment itself has that lived-in comfort that you just don’t get in sterile hotel chains – it’s clearly been set up by someone who actually thinks about what travelers need, not what looks good in photos.
What really sold me was the practical stuff that nobody talks about in those glossy hotel descriptions. The heating actually works (and trust me, that matters in Czech winters), there’s proper kitchen space if you want to grab groceries from the local shops instead of eating every meal out, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which – if you’ve ever tried to navigate a car through Karlovy Vary’s narrow streets during spa season – you’ll appreciate. The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there; it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but it delivers on everything it promises without any unpleasant surprises. The kind of place where you can actually relax instead of worrying about whether you’re doing everything “right.” Plus, and this might sound small, but the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy presentations about amenities you’ll never use or pressure to book spa treatments. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just let you settle in and explore the city at your own pace.

What could be improved: Can't name it. The narrow staircase and the location of the house on a hill are not a disadvantage, but a feature of the city of Karlovy Vary.
Great experience! We liked a lot the flat, it had everything we needed, plus the owner has some small snacks and wine to be purchased in case we need it and feel too lazy to go shopping. Very quite surrounding - only birds could be heart at night. In case of parking, we recommend to use the option offered by the owner to pre-reserve the space; otherwise hard to find a free parking spot around.
What could be improved: It's not a drawback, but the flat is on 4th floor with no lift. Just remember when choosing with senior people or when having a lot of luggage ;)

Very convinient, easy to find , no parking issues, close to the downtown area The whole set-up was done with care for the travelers.

Perfect place for a getaway, close to the centre, very clean and nicely decorated. The attention to detail was astonishing. The place was really spacious with great view from the windows. Everything that we could possibly need was available.
What could be improved: The only downside that I see was that the apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator, so it could be a problem for disabled people and families with children.
Lovely apartment with a great host who attends to everything you could ask for. Shame about the abusive neighbors on the The property was very clean and had everything we needed. It was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
What could be improved: The neighbors on the first floor were shouting and fighting very loudly on the first evening. They were very unsettling, almost so much that we were about to call the police and even caught the attention of the restaurant across the street. Nely came the next day to reassure us that everything was fine and that the family would be moving out in the next month. Luckily we didn’t hear anything from them for the rest of the stay but unfortunately it tainted our entire stay
Exceptional Very cosy, clean apartment, very close to the city center. The view from the window is wonderful.
What could be improved: The minor minuses - no free parking near apartent building, climbing by stairs to the fourth floor after returning from the town uphill was already a challenge, especially with children. But we knew that before, so we were ready :)
We had challenges with a car parking because we did not warn in advance. So it is better to book a parking in advance. Good location. The host gifted a bootle of vine for some inconveniences.
What could be improved: Narrow and high spiral stairs to the 5th floor. No elevator. It can be a significant obstacle for people with luggage or children.
Wonderful The location was great for us. It is a short walk to the colonnade and a short walk to the woods. Great walks through the woods with our dog. The apartment was clean and had everything you needed. Communication with the host was very easy and always had quick responses. The kitchen was well equipped there is a small market close by good for all the basic needs. The pizza place across the street was very good.
What could be improved: Nothing
Wonderful Very nice flat with full accommodation. Very comfortable bed. Inside we can use guides from Karlovy Vary prepared by owners.
