The pension doesn’t have a restaurant, but honestly? That forced me to explore the neighborhood and I found this family-run hospoda about five minutes down the hill that serves better goulash than any of the touristy places near the hot springs. The 8.4 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not luxury, obviously, but it delivers exactly what you need without any pretense. Parking was included, which saved me about 15 euros a day compared to the hotels downtown, and the whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward.
