The studios themselves are what really won me over, though. I mean, when they say “studios,” they actually mean it – these aren’t just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. You’ve got proper kitchenettes with real cooking space, which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out for every meal in Karlovy Vary can get pretty pricey (especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights). The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in a hotel, if that makes sense. Everything’s modern and clean without being sterile – there’s this sort of Scandinavian-meets-Czech thing going on with the design that works better than it probably should on paper. There’s a decent grocery store about five minutes away if you want to stock up your kitchenette, and parking (which is a nightmare in central Karlovy Vary) is actually manageable around here. The staff seemed genuinely helpful when I had questions about getting around, not just going through the motions. I remember the woman at check-in telling me which thermal springs to hit early in the morning before the tour buses arrived – that kind of local insight you don’t usually get.
