Spa Hotel MILLENIUM Karlovy Vary
Look, I'll be honest – when I first walked up to the Spa Hotel MILLENIUM on 1.
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to the Spa Hotel MILLENIUM on 1. máje street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place in Karlovy Vary. But you know what? Sometimes those assumptions bite you right back. This place actually gets it right in ways that some of those flashier hotels up the hill completely miss.
The thing about staying here is that you’re genuinely in the thick of things without being right on top of the tourist chaos around the main colonnade. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from all those famous hot springs everyone comes to see, but when you step back into the hotel at night, there’s this surprisingly peaceful vibe. The spa facilities – and this is where they really shine – feel authentic rather than just slapped together for marketing purposes. The thermal treatments use the actual mineral water from the local springs, which honestly makes all the difference. You can smell that distinctive sulfur scent (in a good way, I promise) the moment you walk into the wellness area, and the staff there actually knows what they’re talking about when it comes to the different therapeutic benefits.
What really sold me on this place was the breakfast room overlooking the street – there’s something oddly satisfying about watching early morning joggers heading toward the park while you’re planning your day over coffee that’s actually decent. The rooms are comfortable enough, though don’t expect Instagram-perfect minimalism or anything like that. They’re clean, the beds are solid, and the bathrooms work properly, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places mess up the fundamentals. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to Karlovy Vary), but the front desk staff will point you toward the nearest public garage, and honestly, you’ll be walking everywhere anyway once you’re settled in. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be something it isn’t, but what it does do, it does well. If you’re coming to Karlovy Vary for the spa culture and want to stay somewhere that feels connected to that tradition without breaking your budget on some grand hotel experience, this is actually a smart choice. Just don’t come in July expecting peace and quiet – that’s peak season and the whole town gets pretty lively.
What Our Guests Say
Wonderful Hotel is a little outside of the city, but has own restaurant. Also enough free parking places available around hotel. Breakfast was very good. For diner they have menu, but also buffet. Buffet was good and a lot of different options.
Exceptional The hotel is really new and clean. The staff is friendly 🤗
Overall great Great place, nice sleep and breakfast:)
What could be improved: Spa procedures extra unfortunately quite overpriced 🥹
Very Good lots of parking around, comfortable beds
What could be improved: check out at 10AM is a bit early
Good What could be improved: very small bathroom.
they do not accept bank cards
Solid 3 star hotel Very good for its price. Breakfast was great, room was spacious and clean. Stuff was friendly.
What could be improved: Nothing to complain about for this price
Good Breakfast, cheap, flexible chek-in hours, smiling staff
Good - Specious room and bathroom.
What could be improved: - Far from the city centre;
- Small hotel parking (but plenty of free of charge public parking places around the hotel).
A Very Comfy Hotel, With Everything Big room, comfortable beds, quiet area in town. We ordered room and food together, and price for this quality was really nice, and when the buffé dinner also had much to choose from, and good food... we are satisfied.
What could be improved: When you ordered room thru Booking.com it says that it is parking place private at the hotel. We ordered room, and then we got message that parking was full..and that we had to park the car at the street somewhere. Not good enough because we always check parking possibility before ordering hotel. That was the only negative about our stay, the rest was really positive from staff to hotel quality.
Wonderful Excellent breakfast
