The location is what really sold me though. T. G. Masaryka is this lovely tree-lined street that puts you right in the heart of things without the chaos you get closer to the main colonnade. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Mill Colonnade – I timed it because I’m weird like that – but far enough away that you’re not dealing with tour groups marching past your windows at 7 AM. Actually, the whole area around there has this nice residential feel during the evenings when the day-trippers head back to Prague. I spent quite a few mornings just watching locals grab their coffee and pastries from the little bakery two blocks down, and honestly, that’s when Karlovy Vary shows its real personality.

What impressed me most was how they’ve managed to create a proper apartment feel rather than that sterile hotel vibe. But honestly, for an 8.8 rating, this place delivers exactly what it promises, and in a town where accommodation can be hit-or-miss depending on the season, that’s worth a lot.
